How to begin a search with the Salvation Army missing persons department
The best way to begin a search is to call us at 1-800-698-7728 so we can determine if we are able to assist you.
The following information MUST be provided to do a search:
- Missing persons complete name (including maiden name if a woman)
- date of birth
- place of birth
- parents names (including mother's maiden name)
- reason for separation
- date of last contact (must have been at least 6 months prior to request)
- inquirers relationship to missing person
- reason for the inquiry
Other helpful information requested:
- Social Security number
- last known address
- spouse
- siblings
- children
- military service
- religious or club affiliations, copy of inquirer's birth certificate
- is/has missing person been involved with substance abuse
- has missing person been in prison or have a police record
- is missing person homeless
